It is with heavy heart and joined by millions that I find myself writing these words Friend....

Your life of triumph out of tragedy is an inspiration and example for the world to take a lesson from....

You are...... as I will never think of you in the past tenths, for your Music and legacy will be forever......and your sounds....your moves.....still as fresh and innovative today as the day we first laid eyes on you with your Brothers so few, yet so many years ago....and will serve as a launching platform for many great performers for eons to come.......

You have set a standard and bar to reach for that is nothing short of ultimate.....

To say that we miss you is way too inadequate and way too much of an understatement......we've missed you since your last tour.....even while you were with us here on this earthly plane.....we couldn't get enough of you on stage.....your magic....the Songs.....The Buzz.......and we never will......

Personally, I have watched you for hours on video at a time and never tired from the sittings...the electrifying choreography and incredible musician lineups you always had used to stop me dead in my tracks whenever I saw you.....If Michael Jackson was on the screen, then a Blue Jays' world was on hold for a few or three or four hours......

I know there are millions of fans crying today......as I have......like I did when Elvis died.......and John Lennon.......and they are, as the Cherokee call them.....happysad tears.....your moving on ......while a great loss to us all....is something inevitable.......and I rejoice in the beauty and Artistic purity of you and your incredibly creative and gifted legacy and know you are up there with Jimmy and the crew.....

I will not stay sad for long....it is the Cherokee way.....I will always be happy however when I hear or see you on a cd or dvd....your lifes' work is something that will help heal ourselves as we move into the future honoring and remembering the past.....

I will also always remember your happy smile as a young boy when I first saw you sing....it is and was the smile of the innocent purity of youth.......the being young in Heart.....the need to always be happy like a child.....that is what this world needs to remember .....

We all need to be as the children inside......happy .....free ....innocent......no race.....no color.....just like we all start out like as newborns......you exemplified this Michael....I see and understand this so clearly.......I think the world does too.......

I want to thank you Friend.....for being such an inspiration to so many......and for bringing the light of hope to this world.......for it is through the Arts that we will save ourselves from ourselves.......

I am a better Artist because of you.....this world definitely is a better place to be because of you...... and that's all any of us in the performing arts world could ever wish for.....to help change this world a little bit for the better while we're around.......

So say hi to Jimmy, Elvis, John, Martin, Sammy, Satchmo, JB.....and way too many others to list....we'll be listening to you Brother.......and looking for you......and yes.....missing the physical you......and always.................. remembering and loving you................
