would like to start off by saying Thank You for taking the time to come check out my music.
My name is Jeromy Watson. Some of you might know me as "The General Da Jamaican Boy" I am a local artist that has been on the rise since 2008 when I hit the streets with my first mixed CD called the hard life with 25 tracks. Know its a lot for my first introduction to the streets; but it has been a long time coming. I have been writing music for so long where it just reached the point where I realized I had a good thing going for me in my life.
I came to Toronto Canada in July of 1998 when I was 15 years old. When I first got on a plane to come here I had no idea what I was going to do in Canada. I didn't even want to come here don't get me wrong I still respect where i grow up , I went to high school and didn't make it through. I was starting to get into #### and got kicked out of high school in Grade 12 because I wasnt grown up to that point yet. I have come along way in my life as a person and learned to respect life, and respect myself. I am The General Da Jamaican boy; Jeromy Watson. There is no holds bars to death when it comes to you .respect life and protect life . Doing things that don't have any real reason behind them. You and me both have no answer for it
In 2007 I got pick off by the police . I week before getting picked off I wrote a song called "a Can feel it" It was just one of those moments where it just happened because of all that was going on in my life. It was an eye opener for me at that moment, it hit me ""music is life"" opened my eyesyp to my music in so many ways . Life hit me right at that moment. living in the hood where its an "eye for an eye" and everybody knows that's it's a real cold world out here . more time we all forget that we can do better if we try ; im only human and im still fighting to do my best as a man to stay alive in this cold world that am living . Music has become my source to life in everyway of life because it has opened up my eyes as an artist; and has given me the gift to do so much that I never thought I would be able to do.
Life experiences made me realize that we all have to grow up at some point in life . My music is me as a man The music has showed me that I got my own thing to work with in life . I found so much joy In writing and creating music my head is always "gone" in music no matter what else is going on in my life. . If you heard me call myself a gangsta in my music hope you feel me. What I mean is I got a cost why Im a G. Live life, protect life, take care of the one's that I love and stay out of prison. There is no better feeling in the world then when you know what you are about and what you stand for in life live for die for .
God has given me the gift to do anything on the mic with a pen and paper. This sweet gift has been a blessing to me from god ; and to have such a great voice. I thank God for that each day. We all have a gift we just have to find it and I have found mine............Just A priview
