PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - The most powerful aftershock yet struck Haiti on Wednesday, shaking more rubble from damaged buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets eight days after the country's capital was devastated by an apocalyptic quake.

She said that things are extremely bad in Haiti and the Capital Area is really bad. Little girls are getting molested and women are getting raped. Men are beaten on by the Thugs that walk the streets in the night.
She was able to get some supplies to areas in Jacmel.

In New York city, the world's largest Haitian community out side of Port-au-Prince has launched a campaign to collect food and donations to send to the Caribbean nation following Tuesday's earthquake. Haitians also rallied together to share information and comfort as they wait to hear word from home.

Several eyewitnesses reported heavy damage and bodies in the streets of the capital, Port-au-Prince, where concrete-block homes line steep hillsides.
